World's largest 'dosa' to promote film

Mumbai/Ahmedabad:

Dr Rajendra Prasad, who plays Quick Gun Murugun in his

forthcoming film by the

same name, has decided to enter the Guinness Book of World Records of

preparing

the largest dosa' in the world. He would do this at Sankalp restaurant

(currently the Guinness record holder with a 30-feet-long dosa') in

Ahmedabad on

Wednesday.

 

 

Sixteen cooks will help him make the world's largest dosa

and his target is to break the record in less than 40 minutes.

 

Says

Vivek Krishnani of Fox Star Studios, "Quick Gun Murugun is a quirky

sambhar'

comedy. We are doing all unusual activities. The film promotes the

importance of

vegetarian food, we thought it would be a good idea to make Prasad

promote

vegetarianism by making this south Indian delicacy of a size never made

before."

 

 

Quick Gun Murugan, the protagonist, is a cowboy fighting for the

virtues of vegetarian food while the villain advocates non-vegetarian

dishes.

This film is a satire on the war between veg and non-veg food

enthusiasts.

 

 

"We are going to break our own previous record of

30-feet dosa'. We will make a 31-feet dosa' on Wednesday at our SG Road

outlet.

The dosa' will be known as Quick Gun Murugun dosa'. Quick Gun Murugan

is a south

Indian cowboy who aims to make the world vegetarian. We are also a

south Indian

restaurant with a pure-veg motto," says Jolly Christian, general

manager,

Sankalp.

 

Quick Gun Murugan' is produced by Fox Star Studios which

had distributed the Oscar winning Slumdog Millionaire'. The film is

scheduled

for an August 28 release.
