Guest guest
" The USDA has predicted that production of meat from all the main livestock and poultry categories will decline this year. " It seems like this could be a good thing, but one way the meat industry is dealing with the problem is by 'culling' their herds. The national dairy industry 'retired' 100,000 dairy cows this month alone. If people's mindset is leaning toward eating less meat, they ought to be open to tasty veg* recipes to help them save money and live healthier! the whole article here: http://www.economist.com/businessfinance/displaystory.cfm?story_id=14098356 I found the information really interesting from a veg* perspective even though it's written strictly from a business perspective.
