Letter Writing Party in Rockridge Tomorrow at 11AM!

Hey guys,

 

Don't forget to come to the Hudson Bay Cafe in Rockridge tomorrow to write

letters to representative Barbara Lee asking for vegan school lunch options in

the National School Lunch Program! We will meet there at 11AM and we will have

supplies and sample letters so all you need to do is show up and donate an hour

of your time to help this important cause!

 

The NSLP feeds 28 million students a day, and the fact that we are feeding these

kids high-calorie nutrient-deficient foods that contribute to heart disease,

diabetes, and other diseases tied to diet is simply unacceptable.

 

Join PCRM in calling on congress to help our schools provide vegetables, fruits,

legumes, grains, vegetarian foods, and healthful nondairy beverages in school

meal programs in The Child Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization Act of 2009.
