Guest guest
Come out and support homeless animals of Oakland! Wednesday, August 12, 2009 Time: 6:00pm - 9:00pm Location: Aunt Mary's Cafe Street: 4307 Telegraph Avenue City/Town: Oakland, CA Details: The Oakland Animal Shelter is run by the city of Oakland, and accepts any animal that is brought there. Given the state of the economy, the shelter's resources are stretched very thin, and every donation helps the many cats, dogs, rabbits and roosters housed at the shelter. Aunt Mary's Cafe will serve a 3 course prix fixe vegetarian dinner (with vegan options) for $35 per person to benefit the shelter. Beverages and tip not included. There will be a silent auction, and we are also soliciting donations of goods for the shelter animals. Please call Aunt Mary's and reserve early: (510) 601-9227. Seating for dinner starts at 6, and is available every 15 minutes until 8 pm (so you can reserve for 6, 6:15, 6:30, etc.). The list of items that the shelter animals needs is below. Please bring any items you wish to donate to the event: Clean blankets Clean towels Clean dog beds Healthy dog treats without artificial dyes (Greenies are great!)
