Guest guest
Bay Area Vegetarians! Help us out here! We’re getting e-mails from people who say they’ve found their outfit for Vegan Prom…but we don’t see their name on the ticket list. We’re getting questions that we can’t believe we have to answer (but we will J). And we’re hearing from people as far away as Los Angeles, planning to travel up and attend the Vegan Prom, but again…no ticket. There will be no ticket sales the night of Vegan Prom (July 11). You *must* buy your ticket online, before the event. No ticket, no prom. L There are some tickets left as I write this. Please take a 10 minute break from shopping for your outfit and buy your darn ticket!! If you wait until the day before Prom, the event will be sold out. To answer you questions: Vegan Prom has pretty much the exact same rules as Veggie Pride. Be awesome. Dress up (evening gown, vegetables, tuxedo, pig costume…whatever you consider “dress up” to be). Open (of course) to non-vegans but only vegan desserts will be on the buffet. Yes, that’s right, free vegan dessert buffet. You must be straight or gay or neither or both. Absolutely nobody else allowed in, we’re going to very strict about that. J Be ready to dance. Both couples and singles are buying tickets—this isn’t high school, you don’t have to have a date your friends approve of. Stick-on sparkly gems encouraged. Be ready to enjoy complimentary decadent vegan desserts by Shannon and complimentary wine, beer and non-alc beverages. The raffle for a free night at The Stanford Inn happens at the event. Check out the website for a complete list of sponsors and desserts. See you July 11!Alex
