Guest guest
Dear All, Hello. I emailed part-time (1 week a month) KGO radio host Christine Craft re: the move to kill shelter animals in 72 hours versus 6 days. I said if she could talk about it on her 10 pm- 1 am show it would be fantastic. At night, KGO reaches about all of Calif., as the signal goes up to Canada, down to Mexico and over to Colorado, Nevada and Arizona. Also, it is the most popular radio station in the Bay Area. KGO is 810 AM. Christine is a lawyer and does a lot of pro bono animal law and also rescues abused dogs. She wrote back that Friday night she is having the Executive Director of the Santa Cruz SPCA and the Director of Monterrey Animal Control on to discuss SB 250 (the spay neuter bill). She might have read my email hurriedly as she is very busy and she seemed to miss the part about calls being especially crucial on Wed. and Thurs. She asked if I could please call in during her show and bring up the horrible 72 hour situation (as she expressed it). I am happy to do this, but if there is someone on our list who knows more about the situation, I think that would be better. If you are knowledgeable about this bill, and can call KGO between 10 pm and 1 am Friday night, please let me know. I would like to give Christine a " heads up " that someone more knowledgeable than me will be calling in so the screener knows to put them right through even if they are discussing the spay neuter bill at the moment. Thanks very much everyone. Best, Stephanie -- " Our task must be to widen our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.
