Plant-Powered Hikers - join us for 6/20 Montara Mtn Trail Hike

Hi all,

 

We're planning a hike starting in Pacifica at San Pedro Valley's Montara Mtn trail. This trail crosses the steep southwestern slopes of San Pedro Valley Park and joins McNee Ranch State Park (Montara) high on the saddle between San Pedro Mountain and Montara's peaks.

 

Hopefully it will be clear so we can enjoy some ocean and coastline views from Point Reyes to Half Moon Bay, and east to Sweeney Ridge and Mt Diablo.

 

Distance is 5 miles with 1000' gain. We're planning to start in Pacifica at 9 am and will end in Montara at the McNee Ranch gate on Hwy 1. We'll be across from Montara State Beach at that point, and will likely cross over and enjoy the beach, too.

 

There are three of us confirmed so far. If you're interested in joining, please RSVP with an email address that you check frequently as well as a cell #, as we'll need to coordinate meeting up and where we'll be leaving cars (this is a one-way hike, not a loop trail).
