Guest guest
I'm planning on showing videos in public using a portable stand and TV at Sunday's KFC protest. Everything I can find online (such as the ACLU's guide http://www.urbandisciples.org/resources/sjuu/demonstrate.pdf) says tabling, etc. is legal on public property as long as you're not blocking traffic. However, I called the S.F. Dept. of Public Works and they said I have to apply for a permit @ $60/day and have liability insurance. I can't find any such requirement in the municipal code. Does anyone have experience with public tabling/video displays in San Francisco? Please let me know what your understanding is of the laws. Thanks, AndrewWindows Live™: Keep your life in sync.
