Please join us for a peaceful demonstration this Saturday to take a stand

against the cruelty of foie gras. Foie gras is the unnaturally enlarged liver

of force-fed ducks and geese. Foie gras production is inherently cruel and has

been banned in fifteen countries. Wolfgang Puck recently removed foie gras from

all his restaurants, citing animal welfare concerns.

The protest will take place Saturday, May 16, from 6pm - 8pm at Marché

Restaurant in Menlo Park located at 898 Santa Cruz Avenue. We will inform

restaurant-goers about the cruelty of foie gras production and ask them to urge

Marché to drop foie gras from their menu. We'd like to gather as many people as

possible to hold posters and pass flyers. Even if you're new to this issue or

have never been to a protest like this, we could really use your help!

Please RSVP to me if you can join us. We need as much visible support as

possible so please pass this along to anyone you think may also wish to join us.

Please join us if you can, even if you can only come for part of the two hours.

This protest is organized by Palo Alto Humane Society, in partnership with IDA

(In Defense of Animals) and APRL (Animal Protection and Rescue League).

To see how foie gras is produced, watch this undercover investigation video:

Thanks!
