Bay Area Vegetarians always has an amazing presence at San Francisco's annual Pride Festival, and we reach thousands of people with information about veg diets and animal suffering. It's a lot of fun and the best bang for your activism buck that I know of!This year, in addition to the busy booth, we'll be in the parade for the first time!! We'll have a walking contingent with a small truck to carry our veggie weight-lifters and piles of literature we'll hand out. Some people will be wearing brightly colored veg t-shirts (that we will provide), others will be in costume.PRIDE 2009 IS THE LAST WEEKEND OF JUNE. The booth goes both days, the parade is Sunday morning June 28.Costumes:A cow, a chicken, and a pigNurses handing out "prescriptions" to go veg (love that one!!
