Guest guest Posted April 22, 2009 Report Share Posted April 22, 2009 While leading a protest last Sunday at Marlena's bar, I learned that the Bay Area Gay Rodeo has been cancelled for 2009, with no explanation or formal announcement on its website. It's also not listed on the International Gay Rodeo Association's tentative calendar of nationwide rodeos for 2010 and 2011. Apparently, since 2008 there has been a increase in cancellations of gay rodeos nationwide. We may change our focus to the Sacramento Gay Rodeo, which is still going strong.
