Guest guest
Hi Everybody, When I posted about the Café Gratitude on 9th Avenue in San Francisco closing as early as May 1st, I forgot to post the good news. According to our waitperson, the Café Gratitude people are planning to open a 100% vegan taqueria in the Mission district, and as early as this summer if I remember correctly. Just fyi. We can be on the lookout for it. Guest guest
some of you might already know, most of the info below has been posted on the SFLIVING Foods list Gracias Madres, 2211 Mission St/18th and 19th St, will open around July 2009 (if all goes well) They will sell vegan tamales (with no lard), tacos etc.. made with organic heirloom corn from Mexico. To " raise the barn " they are selling $100 - $1000 gift cards. At the $1000 level, you'll get an extra 20% on the card. That means the $1000 card will give you $1,200 worth of food, other discounts does not apply. denominations: $100-$499 10% extra food $499 $999 15% extra food You can use the card at ALL CAfe Gratitude , not sure if there's an expiration date. The last set of gift cards, there were no expiration date. go to a local Cafe Gratitude to get details. == Today, at the 9th Ave Cafe, there was HELP WANTED sign posted for experienced Host/ess and Servers If you want to know the pay is, it's around $10 per hour , tips shared by everyone including the dish washer,,etc, you get health benefits if you work almost full time, l/2 off on food (not free) I might be a bit off, but that's pretty close to the benefits. To me, it's almost impossible to live on that type of salary but people can do that... I do not work in the restaurant business, any questions, pls ask the restaurant directly, thanks winnie , Lisa Herzstein <lisavegansf wrote: > , the Café Gratitude people are planning to open > a 100% vegan taqueria in the Mission district, and as early as this summer >> --
