Guest guest Posted April 15, 2009 Report Share Posted April 15, 2009 Please join the "gay contingent" of Bay Area Vegetarians as we protest one oppressed group inflicting cruelty upon another in the upcoming gay rodeo. We will meet outside Marlena's Bar at 488 Hayes Street @ Octavia, San Francisco, to protest during the rodeo's Royalty Competition and Crowning. Signs and leaflets will be provided. I believe we will meet from about 5:00-6:30, but please RSVP to me so I can confirm the details. If you can't make this date but want to help at future ones, please email me. Also, I am soon launching a website with more information, including the contact details of the sponsors and supporters of the rodeo - I'll post the link later. It seems many local companies have withdrawn under our pressure over the last few years - let's ramp up the pressure until they decide to change the event to not include animal cruelty.
