Guest guest
Hi folks Each of us basically decide what happens or what doesn't happen for Bay Area Vegetarians. As an example, several wonderful volunteers host events every month -- KFC protests, letter writing parties, monthly dinners. I decided I wanted a tour for the group to Animal Place. There is one activity that deserves to happen at least once a month, and now is the time to do it -- a Vegan Food Party (VFP). It's essentially an opportunity for new and old friends to gather, bring out their favorite vegan recipes or "animal test" new ones, without any other agenda aside from sharing fellowship over food. Thanks to Ann & Reeba for hosting a VFP this month in Pacifica. I typically send out a plea for volunteer hosts around Thanksgiving. But, folks, please -- you don't need to wait for an email from me asking for volunteers to host. It's beautiful weather in the Bay Area, let's get some VFPs happening all around the Bay Area! Great time to do at your favorite park or beach ... Chris & I have hosted an annual one at Montara State Beach on the 4th of July -- it's a lot of fun, and quite frankly, abit overwhelming to choose from 40 to 50 vegan food dishes. ( And I always wonder, if I don't try all of them, I could be missing something really great ... ) So let me know what you've decided to make happen! I'm all eyes for your email :-) http://bayareaveg.org/host.htm Cheers, Tammy Bay Area Vegetarians My two cents, vegan-style .. - today or read it on GenerationV.org Don't miss out on these awesome Bay Area Vegetarians events! 04/11 Animal Place Farm Tour and Vegan Food Picnic - Vacaville 04/26 Hike & Native Garden Vegan Food Party - Pacifica 05/02 Have a Heart, Go Veg Leafleting & Lunch - SF 05/03 Food for Thought Book Club: Animals Rights Philosophy & Picnic - SF 05/30 Veg Outreach & Education at Maker Faire - San Mateo County Fairgrounds
