Nicholas Kristof

I was thrilled to read Nicholas Kristof's op-ed in todays NY TImes. For those

not familiar with Kristof, much of his widely read columns are about people

living in poverty and oppressive conditions, particularly in Africa and Asia.

Today's column deals with the oppression of animals and can be read at

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/09/opinion/09kristof.html?emc=eta1 . Although not

a vegetarian, the fact that he's writing about this in a major daily newspaper

and bringing these issues to so many readers can only be positive for the

animals.
