Join us April 4! Prop 2 Reunion and Animal Activist Showcase!

Hello animal-advocating all stars!Join us!April 4th from 6-9pmat the San Francisco SPCA -- 243 Alabama St. for a Prop 2 reunion and activist showcase!The reunion is a bit self-explanatory. Just in case the Activist Showcase isn't: the intention is for people who care about animals to meet each other and, ideally, lay a groundwork for further collaboration and even more effective action. There are people in the Bay Area doing great things for animals, and they deserve to have their efforts showcased! This is a chance for people to share what they are doing and how others can join, as well as for people to share how they would like to get involved and to urge others to get involved with them. This is especially perfect for new activists or for many people who were active for Prop 2 and have not gotten involved in other projects since the election.

The schedule for the evening (subject to change):6:00 - 7:00 - mingling, snacks7:00 - 7:45 - short presentations from activists about what they're up to or interested in 7:45

- 9:00 - more mingling, snacks, connecting with other activists and exchanging contact information with

those activists working on or interested in similar actions.

If you'd like to share about a project you're working on or are interested in, that's great! We will have info tables set up for people, too. Please let me know if you're interested in speaking or having materials at a table. I invite you to take some time to think about and prepare what you'd like to say or what materials or sign-up sheet you could use to attract people's interests and gather their contact info. This is great training for all of us as activists. And if you can't be there to speak about your project, could you inspire someone else to take your place?

Please let me know if you'd like to be part of the team that is coordinating the event, if you can volunteer to bring food (vegan, please) or drinks or solicit donations of these, help ensure the event's success the day of, help promote the event to others, have input about the event, or can offer your help in some other way!

Please forward to everyone you know who might be interested. Before doing so, please keep in mind that while there is an important social element of the evening, the intention is promoting activism and activists, so the evening is really for people who are interested in being involved with activism (versus going to a dinner party with like-minded people).
