Guest guest
Dear Everyone, Hi. Hope everyone is having a great weekend : ) I wrote before that Christine Craft, an extremely pro AR host has been given a permanent time slot on KGO (810 AM) on Sat. nights (though not tonight, I guess because she was on all week). Well, I was listening to her show last night and it turns out that she is being considered for the M-F 10 pm to 1 am time slot. KGO's signal at night reaches to Canada, Colorado, Utah and down into Mexico. I missed it, but apparently the first hour was about dog and cock-fighting. When I did listen (from after 11 to about 12), she also warned listeners about Cocoa Mulch, which is some kind of fertilizer. Apparently, it's the rage with gardeners (made with real chocolate) and it is also poisonous to dogs and cats who *will* eat it. Cats and dogs have already sickened and died from it. It would be fantastic to have such an ardent fighter of animal abuse (she does rescue and a lot of pro bono animal law) with so much reach. Also, she never comes off as strident and people really like her, so they are inclined to take what she says to heart. One note if you haven't listened to her show: though she is mostly progressive, she can be conservative. If you have a minute, please write kgofeedback and tell them to give the time slot to Christine! You will be really helping animals out. (IMO, it's better if everyone who writes doesn't say " please give Ms. Craft the show because she does so much for animals " . I don't think KGO really cares about that and we want them to know a wide variety of people like her.) Thanks!
