Guest guest
Vikram, Could you be so kind and clarify a couple of things for me? Uppuma and Uppma, are they the same? I make Uppma with cream of wheat (sooji). Are the vermicelli a variation from my sooji? Your recipe looks similar to mine except that I am not using dahi. Guest guest
hi eruna both are the same, just difference in pronunciation. we also make uppma with sooji and curry leaves.  Actually I used to make vermicelli the traditional punjabi style. And a few months back it had a chance to attend a south indian function at one of my colleague's house. There i tasted this dish and it just clicked my tounge means this is also a different and a beautiful way to make vermicelli. in making sooji uppma we don't add chana dal, dahi (yogurt)and green peas. rest is the same as u make sooji uppma. thanks ========================================================================  VIKRAM  ==============================================================================\ ============================= PPlease don't print anything unless you really need to - this will preserve trees on planet earth. Save Environment. P   ________________________________ Eruna Derbyshire <eruna Fri, 30 April, 2010 11:29:40 AM Re: [gourmet-spicy-veg] semiya Uppuma  Vikram, Could you be so kind and clarify a couple of things for me?
