Guest guest Posted April 20, 2010 Report Share Posted April 20, 2010 Tart-And-Hot Turnips 2 cups peeled thinly sliced turnip 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup rice vinegar 2 teaspoons sugar 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper Place turnip slices in a medium bowl, and sprinkle with salt. Let stand for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain turnip slices, and blot dry with paper towels. Combine turnip slices, vinegar, sugar, and crushed red pepper in a bowl, and stir well.
