We encourage everyone to grow something, even if it's a few herbs on the windowsill. Some members are large scale ranchers and farmers, others apartment dwellers, and we learn from each other. Members from many countries with great ideas for taking charge of their health by growing food. We also encourage people to shop locally as often as possible. Support your locally owned garden and supply stores and purchase plants that are adapted to your unique area. And never ever throw away those precious kitchen scraps,but create your own compost or worm garden. Perfect potting medium for your containers and gardens. And ...recycle everything that you possible can.
