Guest guest Posted March 6, 2010 Report Share Posted March 6, 2010 Bhindi Masala-India 1/4 cup oil 1 large onion, chopped 10 garlic cloves, minced 2 fresh green chilies, chopped 1 tsp. turmeric 1 tbsp. cumin, ground 3 lbs. okra salt Heat oil in large pot. Add onion, garlic and chilies. Fry over medium heat till browned. Stir in turmeric and cumin, fry for 2 minutes. Mix in okra and salt. Cover, reduce heat, simmer for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
