Guest guest Posted June 7, 2009 Report Share Posted June 7, 2009 Old Farts Spicy Baked Beans (right on the grill) 1 16 ounces can pinto beans, drained 1 16 ounces can black beans, reserve 4 ozs. liquid 1 large onion, minced fine crushed 2 garlic cloves 1/2 cup barbecue sauce cooking oil spray as needed 1 tablespoon cracked black pepper 1 tablespoon ground ancho pepper 1 teaspoon cumin powder 2 tablespoons hot sauce 1 dash kosher salt Prepare grill for direct cooking method. You could bake them slow in the oven too. Or use your smoker if doing something else in it at the same time. In a small bowl combine beans, reserved liquid, onion, garlic, barbecue sauce, hot sauce and spices. Spray a shallow two quart disposable aluminum pan with cooking oil spray. Pour bean mixture into the aluminum pan and place onto grill rack. Cover. Cook for 1 hour, stir beans every 15 minutes. Serves 4 to 6.
