Guest guest Posted March 31, 2009 Report Share Posted March 31, 2009 Onion Crispies 3 onions sliced 2 tsps. green chilies finely chopped 1 tsp. cumin seeds 1 tsp. turmeric powder 1/2 tsp. chili powder 1/2 tsp. garam masala powder 1 tsp. coriander leaves finely chopped handful of besan (gramflour) salt to taste oil for deep frying Sprinkle salt in the sliced onions and let drain water for 5 minutes. Squeeze out the water. Add all the above ingredients to make a thick batter. Heat oil and add spoonful full of batter and fry till golden brown. Serve hot with tomato sauce. Makes 15 to 20 crispies.
