Guest guest Posted January 23, 2009 Report Share Posted January 23, 2009 Lets try and narrow it down a bit, Marie. Was the rice a yellowish brown (saffron)? Or was it a brown brown (browned butter)? Were there any other vegetables with the rice and chickpeas? Was there any heat in the rice (peppers or ground pepper)? Was it definitely Indian or could it have been Indonesian or Malay? I've a pile of pilaf recipes. Give me some direction and I'll post what I have.
