Jacques Quarterback Hummus 1 16 ounce can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed 3 tablespoon tahini 3 garlic cloves, minced juice of one lemon 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 teaspoon cumin pinch of cayenne salt to taste Toasted Pita Sticks: 1 package whole-wheat pita bread 3 tablespoons olive oil 2 teaspoons dill 2 teaspoons oregano 1 teaspoon basil 1 teaspoon paprika 2 teaspoons garlic minced 1 tablespoon sea salt Hummus::Put all the above ingredients in a food processor or blender and blend until smooth. Thin with a little water if hummus is too thick. Chill and serve with toasted pita sticks. Pita Sticks: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut pita into 1 inch strips or 6 triangles. Arrange on a cookie sheet. Brush the top of each pita evenly with oil. Mix the dill, oregano, basil, paprika, garlic and sea salt together and sprinkle evenly over the pitas.
