Guest guest Posted October 25, 2008 Report Share Posted October 25, 2008 Hot Pepper Green Beans 1 pound fresh green beans, stemmed 4 garlic cloves, minced 1/2 cup chopped green scallions 2 fresh chilies, seeded, finely chopped 1 tablespoon fermented black beans, rinsed 3 tablespoons rice vinegar 2 tablespoons tamari 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch 1 tablespoon brown sugar 2 tablespoons rice wine 3 tablespoons peanut oil Blanch green beans for 2 minutes. In a small bowl, combine garlic, scallions, chilies, beans. In another small bowl, combine vinegar, soy sauce, cornstarch, sugar and wine. Heat oil in a wok, add bean mixture and stir-fry for a minute. Add green beans and stir-fry for 5 minutes. Mix in the rest of the ingredients and stir-fry long enough just to coat the beans.
