Guest guest
Wow, I asked a question an hour or so ago about a replacement for egg in a veggie burger recipe and already have two great suggestions. To suhshinegirl78--one can't go wrong adding flax seed to anything, it seems. I hadn't thought of mixing it with water, though. This isn't really a recipe, but a suggestion about how to reinvigorate your hummus. I have recently been making my own sesame paste, or tahini. Use equal amounts of sesame seeds and good olive oil. First, toast the sesame seeds in a dry pan over a med-low heat. The browner you get them, the more roasted tasting the hummus will be. Then grind the seeds in a spice grinder or food processor, adding equal amounts of olive oil as you grind them. It's easy, and it really distinguishes your hummus from others. I have a friend who is a REALLY good cook and had taken my hummus over to her house one night. I was pleased when she called me the next day to get the recipe.
