Guest guest
<drool> This was sent to me by my friend Doug in B.C. from its creator, his friend Darlene. I've tinkered a bit. Darlene's Chai ------------------------ 1 Tbsp fennel or anise seed 6 green cardamom pods [ed.--or a tsp. of cardamom seeds?] 12 cloves 1 cinnamon stick 1/4 " of ginger root, sliced thin [i'd use more like 1 " ] 1/4 [to 1] tsp. black peppercorns 2 bay leaves 7 Cups water Place all ingredients into a large saucepan and bring to a [low] boil. Boil gently for 5 minutes. Add 2 Tbsp of your favorite rich, mellow black tea [decaf is okay if you need to, but I'd use 3 Tbsp.] and let steep for 5 minutes. Then add: 6 Tbsp brown sugar 1 Cup Half and Half [or Silk], whatever you prefer. [and I'd add 1 tsp. vanilla. . .yes, even in a peppery chai, trust me.] Rain @@@@ \ \ \ \ \ \ \
Guest guest
I just read last night in Whole Health mag that chai is a natural remedy for flatulence! Man improves himself as he follows his path; if he stands still, waiting to improve before he makes a decision, he'll never move. -Paulo Coelho --- On Thu, 9/18/08, bluezinnia <bluezinnia wrote: bluezinnia <bluezinnia Now then. . .where to get a 50-gallon drum? , teamail Thursday, September 18, 2008, 9:07 AM <drool> This was sent to me by my friend Doug in B.C. from its creator, his friend Darlene.
