Guest guest
12 Whole Green or Red Jalapeno Peppers (I like to mix them looks pretty on the plate) 1 (3 oz) pkg. Cream Cheese (I use fat free) 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1/4 cup sliced green onions 12 pimento strips (it calls for them to stay whole and garnish each but I chop mine and put them in the mix) Dash of Garlic powder Heat oven to 350 F. Slight the jalapenos length wise on one side to the stem, leave stem attached. Remove seeds and veins. In a small mixer bowl beat cream cheese until fluffy. Beat in cheddar cheese, green onions, (pimento) and garlic powder. Fill each pepper with the cheese mixture. Arrange stuffed peppers on baking sheet or in heat proof dish and heat for about 12 minutes or until cheese is melted. Top with pimentos and serve (like I said I add my pimentos inside). It works great for an appetizer.
