Guest guest Posted May 23, 2008 Report Share Posted May 23, 2008 Spicy Black-Eyed Pea Soup 2 tablespoons jalapenos, finely chopped 1 garlic clove, minced 1 pinch black pepper, freshly ground 2 vegetable bouillon cubes 3 cups Swiss or cheddar cheese, grated 1 cup onion, chopped 2 cups tomatoes, chopped 1 pinch salt 3 cups water 4 15 oz. cans black-eyed peas, drained Dash of liquid smoke Dash red pepper flakes Suute onion, jalapeños, tomatoes, garlic, salt and pepper in a small amount of olive oil. Sauté 5 minutes. Add water, liquid smoke, red pepper flakes and bouillon, dissolving the cubes in the mixture. Add black-eyed peas to bouillon mixture.
