Guest guest Posted May 20, 2008 Report Share Posted May 20, 2008 Yams with Masala Sauce Masala Sauce Bake up a 4 - 6 yams and split open, spoon this into the center and enjoy 1 large onion, small dice 1 peppercorn 2 cloves 2 cloves garlic, crushed 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds 3 medium tomatoes, peeled and chopped 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 1 cup tomato sauce 2 tablespoons tomato paste 1 cup water 1 teaspoon black pepper salt Heat onion, peppercorn, cloves, garlic, cumin seeds and oil over high heat for about 3 minutes. Add tomatoes and cook unitl soft. Add tomato paste, tomato sauce and water; allow to boil. Lower heat; add black pepper and salt. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes.
