Spicy Orange Hummus

 

1 can 15 ounces chick peas, rinsed, drained

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup orange juice

2 teaspoons soy sauce

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1/2 teaspoon each: curry powder, ground ginger

2 teaspoons grated orange zest

salt and white pepper, to taste

 

Dippers: Pita Chips, or pita breads, cut into wedges In a food processor,

process chick peas, garlic, orange juice, soy sauce, mustard, curry powder, and

ginger until smooth. Stir in orange zest.

Season to taste with salt and white pepper. Refrigerate 1 to 2 hours for flavors

to blend. Serve with dippers.
