Guest guest Posted March 12, 2008 Report Share Posted March 12, 2008 Jalapeno Bar-B-Q Sauce 3/4 cup finely-chopped onion 3/4 cup finely-chopped green bell pepper 5 jalapenos, stemmed, seeded, minced 2 tablespoons minced garlic 1/4 cup olive oil 16 ounces beer 1 quart water 1 cup prepared mustard 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce 1/2 cup hot sauce 3/4 cup cider vinegar 3 teaspoons coarsely-ground black pepper 1 teaspoon ground New Mexican chile salt to taste In a large saucepan, saute the onion, bell pepper, jalapenos and garlic in oil until soft. Add the beer and the water; bring to a boil and reduce the heat. Stir in the remaining ingredients and simmer for an hour, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
