Guest guest
Spicy Barbecued Cashews I like to give these away in 1/2 cup amounts in little plastic bags tied with attractive ribbons. Be sure to label them " spicy " . " 1/4 cup corn syrup 2 tbsps. water 2 tsps. salt, coarse 2 tsps. cumin, ground 1 tsp. curry powder 1 tsp. cayenne pepper 1 lb. cashews, raw, unsalted In medium saucepan, combine corn syrup with water and spices. Bring to a boil. Stir in the nuts. Spread on cookie sheet lined with aluminium foil and bake 1 hour at 275 degrees. Stir every 20 minutes. Remove from oven and cool 20 minutes. Makes about 3 cups.
