Guest guest
What is asofoetida? I am in Australia, so some of our names are different. If you have no other name for it, can you tell me whether it is Mexican/South American or what so that I can find an appropriate store here to try. Thanks. This recipe sounds just so delicious and I have paw paw (papaya) growing and nearly ripe. Merry Christmas to all from a new member. Guest guest
I did a google search of the name for you and asofoetida is another name for giant fennel. It is an herb. I hope this helps you in making this tasty dish. Teena Lynne Gardiner <tsimandnef wrote: What is asofoetida? I am in Australia, so some of our names are different. Guest guest
It's sold in Indian or middle eastern stores, youcan sub with a little onion or garlic powder. Most people don't like the scent, I love the stuff. Donna , Teena Brayen <teena98_1998 wrote: > > I did a google search of the name for you and asofoetida is another name for giant fennel. Guest guest
Thank you, I didn't google it because I didn't think it would be something that simple. Have fennel growing.
