Papaya Tomatillo Chutney

What is asofoetida? I am in Australia, so some of our names are different.

If you have no other name for it, can you tell me whether it is

Mexican/South American or what so that I can find an appropriate store here

to try. Thanks.

This recipe sounds just so delicious and I have paw paw (papaya) growing and

nearly ripe.

I did a google search of the name for you and asofoetida is another name for

giant fennel. It is an herb. I hope this helps you in making this tasty dish.

It's sold in Indian or middle eastern stores, youcan sub with a

little onion or garlic powder.

Most people don't like the scent, I love the stuff.

Thank you, I didn't google it because I didn't think it would be something

that simple. Have fennel growing.
