Recipe 1 Pressure cook or soft cook the Sweet potatoes in water. Skin.Mash them when hot.Cool.Add appropriate amount of cinamon and nutmeg powder.Add a low sugar sweetner.Then gradually add chilled milk and stir.Once you the desired consistancy taste the sweetness again. Then you can add the variety off chopped nuts as per your desire. Hey presto you have sweet beverage!!Alternately you can add hot milk to the sweet potato in place of the cold milk and thicken it on a fire till you get the desired consistancy and follow the rest of the method as shown above. Recipe 2 Make a dry filling of sauted diced fruit, appropriate flavourents(sweet,sour,or tangy) and nuts.Cool.Pressure cook or soft cook the sweet potatoes as above,skin and mash when hot. Make a demi tasse cup size bowl with a little of the mash on the palm of your hand.Spoon in the filling and seal into a smallsize patty.Else you can make a pouch of your choice with the filling in it. Lightly coat with it with arrowroot flour that has been layed out in a wide bowl ..Dust the excess flour. Shallow fry the patty on fast fire only to brown it well.If you find that the mash does not hold to form a patty or a pouch you can add some arrowroot flour in it as well. Recipe 3 Peel raw sweet potato and grate it.Mix it with seasoning of your choice(dry and moist) and diced soft cooked vegies,nuts,etc in an appropriate proportion.Make medium sized envelopes of foil in which water will not penetrate.Line their insides with oil or butter.Fill the mixture in these envelopes. Preferable make the envelopes as flat as possible .The reason is that you are steaming them.Arrange only a single layer of envelopes inside the steamer .Please do not pile up layers they may not cook. Now steam the envelopes for about half an hour to fortyfive minutes.Remove with tongs. Place each envelope on a dinners plate and request him or her to break open the hot pouch to savour the aroma and the hot taste. Please send me your brickbats and compliments !!
