Guest guest Posted December 17, 2007 Report Share Posted December 17, 2007 Chili-Garlic-Infused Green Beans 4 cups string beans or Chinese long beans 1 tsp. toasted sesame oil 8 cloves garlic, minced 1 red chili pepper, seeded and minced 2 tbsps. seasoned rice vinegar 2 tbsps. tamari soy sauce Wash and trim the beans and break them into 1 1/2-inch pieces. Steam over boiling water until just tender, about 7 minutes. Chill in ice water, then drain and set aside. Heat oil in a nonstick skillet and sauté the garlic and chili for 3 to 4 minutes. Stir in the vinegar and tamari, along with the cooked beans. Continue cooking, stirring constantly, until very hot, about 1 minute. Transfer to a serving dish.
