Guest guest Posted November 4, 2007 Report Share Posted November 4, 2007 Cactus Condiment 1/4 cup chopped onion, Spanish or green or a combination safflower oil, for frying 1/4 cup nopal (nopales are in a jar in Latin stores) 3 tablespoons red chili paste 1/2 cup water Note: You can sun nopal with canned green beans. Saute the onion in the oil until transparent. Add the nopal and fry for about 1 minute. Add the red chili paste and water. Simmer until the pads are well saturated with sauce.
