Guest guest
Red Lentil Cakes 1 cup cracked wheat 2 cups red lentil 4 cups water 2 teaspoons salt 2 teaspoons paprika 5 teaspoons cumin 1 bunch of green onion 1 bunch of parsley 4 teaspoons tomato paste 2 tablespoons butter 1 onion Chop the onion into small pieces and cook until it becomes soft with the butter. Add tomato paste and remove from heat. On the other hand, boil the red lentils with 4 cups of water. After they become yellowish, soft and absorb the water, remove from heat and mix with cracked wheat. Wait 15 minutes. Chop the green parts of the parsley and the green onions and add to the lentil mix. Add all the other ingredients (tomato paste and spices) and mix. Take a table spoon from the mix and roll it into a cylindric shape but not too thin, Make all the mix this way. If you like, you can put a little bit lemon juice when serving. Makes 50 pieces.
