Guest guest Posted September 3, 2007 Report Share Posted September 3, 2007 Spicy Rice and Vegetables 1 cup green chilies, diced 1 cup green bell pepper, diced 1 cup celery, diced 1 cup onion, diced 4 tbsps. butter 1 tbsp. honey 1 1/2 cups brown rice 3 cups water 1 apple, chopped 1/2 cup almonds, chopped Saute vegetables in butter and honey. Add rice and continue to saute until onions are clear. Add water, and boil 5 minutes. Turn heat to low; let rice absorb water, about 35 minutes.
