Guest guest
Hi, would regular brown lentils be ok to use in this? -- heidiup1 Sender: Reply May 6, 2007 7:35 PM Re: Indian Lentils With Coconut - 3 pts--Review This is very easy and filling. I added a little fresh grated coconut-- my new favorite ingredient along with coconut milk! Thanks! Guest guest
Well, Chupa is probably the best resource for this--but I neglected to mention that I used brown lentils and I liked it quite a lot. Lentils aren't my favorite of all foods, but the creamy coconut definitely softened the lentils. (And Chupa will always make sure that a bit of heat is in her recipe--I used her red pepper flakes instead of the black pepper.)
