Guest guest Posted October 3, 2006 Report Share Posted October 3, 2006 Hot and Spicy Cocktail Nuts 1/2 cup butter or margarine 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon paprika 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon onion powder 1/4 teaspoon pepper pinch cayenne or to taste 1 pound unsalted nuts Melt the butter in a large heavy skillet over low heat. Add the Worcestershire sauce, paprika, hot pepper sauce, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and cayenne and mix well. Add the nuts and toss well to coat. Cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring frequently over low heat until the nuts are lightly toasted. Drain on paper towels and serve hot, or store in an airtight container at room temperature until ready to serve. Makes 1 pound spiced nuts.
