Guest guest Posted September 23, 2006 Report Share Posted September 23, 2006 Spicy-Sweet Turnips 1 tablespoon brown sugar 2 teaspoons butter, melted 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger dash of ground allspice 3 turnips, peeled and each cut into 6 wedges cooking spray Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine first 7 ingredients in a jelly roll pan or shallow roasting pan coated with cooking spray; toss to coat. Bake at 400° for 35 minutes or until tender, stirring every 10 minutes.
