Guest guest
I made this from the site Gary sent me regarding my pineapple sage plant. If you see this little herb at the nursery please pick one up. What a delicious flavor it has. I toss crushed leaves into my sun tea also. Thanks gary for this info with recipes. Pineapple Sage Tropical Fruit Compote 1/3 c. minced fresh pineapple sage leaves 1/4 c. white wine such as Riesling Juice of one lime 1 T. honey or maple syrup 1 mango, cubed 1/2 fresh pineapple, cubed 3 kiwis, sliced 1 star fruit, sliced 2 small bananas sliced 3 nectarines, pitted and sliced (I used pears) 1 c. seedless black or red table grapes 2 T. slivered almonds Combine pineapple sage leaves, wine, honey and lime juice is a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer just to dissolve honey. Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold. Meanwhile, prepare fruit and combine in a large glass compote or bowl. Pour syrup over fruit and gently toss to coat. Garnish with slivered almonds and serve immediately. Makes 6 to 8 servings. FareChase - Search multiple travel sites in one click.
