Anything organic is so much better for the environment as well as your body. I

am not sure exactly what it is that you bought though...never heard of it. I buy

beet sugar since it isn't run through the bone char, the bones of dead animals.

Or Agave nectar. I use Mirin to sweeten things too. There are a multitude of

other sugars that haven't been through the bone char. You have me on this one

though, but I found a site to explain it

http://www.organicanews.com/news/article.cfm?story_id=23 and I thing it worth

your while to take a peak at it since you don't need it coming second hand from

me. <grinning> So glad that you did bring it up though so that I could learn

about it.

I wonder about the natural sugar. Is it better for us and the environment or

just the environment, The bag I got at whole foods says dehydrated cane juice,

organic sugar. I wonder if there is a difference.

Wish I would have bought cane juice instead.

--- Chanda--

I live in NE Iowa : ). took dog out for walk at marsh this morning

and it is sleety and won't be long before it changes over to snow.

once I have kids in for the day it will be exciting--I hate driving in

it initially because there are enough idiots yet who think it's OK to

drive 60-65 mph on ice roads but then it seems everyone's common sense

kicks in : ).

gotta love Vegannaise--love it with tofurky deli slices of all

things. Walmart is now carrying containers of natural sugar? Florida

crystals? price isn't bad at all. soynog is good but it is thick--I

may thin down with a bit of lite soymilk. take care : )....

Nice article. Thanks. Here's a short and sweet (pun intended)

from Dr. Weil, in which he basically says there is no difference,

aside from possibly more trace minerals. I'm surprised he doesn't

mention the processing, but I guess he's answering the question

from a health perspective only.
