Guest guest
Hi Steve, Welcome into our group. Let us know if you have any questions. Yes, I know about the fish and chicken thing.LOL Funny how many times you go to a restaurant and the waitress will say, we have plenty of vegetarian dishes. Here's the chicken and fish part of the menu. Or the women at work will come bring me a chicken tamale and say, I made this vegetarian just for you. I think it's because it's such a struggle for some people to give up red meat that they think they have turned into a vegetarian. My older nephew is like that. His cholesterol is sky high so he called me last year and told me he was a vegetarian and just eating chicken now. Funny, he does know the difference but I guess it was a big sacrifice giving up beef. Make sure you browse our recipe files. We have lots of wonderful recipes and more posted each day. Happy you joined us and if you have a recipe request just let us know.......Donna stevehvactech <stevehvactech wrote: I feel a little silly typing this, but yesterday marked five consecutive months of a plant-based diet for me. I was working at a pizza place until recently and eating a lot of pizza (sometimes with cheese). I also went through my french fry, dorito and soda phase. Here recently I have discovered veggie chicken nuggets, franks, and even kielbasa. I am healthier now than I have ever been! I try to eat more fresh green vegetables, salads and fruit and also drink a protien supplement with soymilk. I have forgotten what dairy milk tastes like. I am new to this group and am looking forward to making some new friends. I find it amazing how many people say things like, " you know, I could be a vegetarian, but I would still eat fish and chicken. " ??????? I don't get it.
