Guest guest
Donna emailed me this morning and asked if i would share a link to my vegetarian here; of course you are all invited to check us out. But i also wanted to mention some of my favorite groups where i am a member. i hope you will go check them out, dig through their files, meet some of the great people in them, and share the veggie wealth of knowledge that our vegetarian support groups are full of. Nothing helps me more for planning holiday meals and gatherings than the great recipes i have been blessed to gather from all of you on these vegetarian cooking & support groups. i just wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks to you all. My groups: The Feral Vegetarian / i started this group back in 2002 and it has blossomed to over 1300 members. All of the tried and true recipes are stored in a very organized way in our files section by our lovely co-moderator Susie. Quick Vegetarian2 2/ This is a list i also host with several other people. We started it up to mirror the original Quick Vegetarian group back when the owner of that group disappeared without appointing a new owner-moderator... thus that list has been hit with nothing but spam; such a shame. We knew there were great recipes, and the concept of quick delicious veggie food should go on, so we grabbed the recipe files and started over anew at QV2. Groups i am blessed to be a member of in alphabetical order: Christian Vegan Cooking Christian-Vegan-Cooking/ No organized filed recipes, but a good source of recipes in their archives. Healthy Is Tasty Healthy_Is_Tasty/ This is a great new vegetarian group... small but wonderful. Check it out. Herbivore Herbivore/ This group has been around since 1995. While they don't have any of the recipes organized into files, they do have good archives to look through. IVU Veg News ivu-veg-news/ A daily digest of vegetarian new articles. Quite interesting and good to be informed. Pagan Vegetarians pagan_vegetarians/ The name says it all. A friendly group of good people hosted by one of The feral's long-time members, Megan. Vegan Crockpot Cooking / Organized files and a great place to find vegan recipes for your crock pots and slow cookers. Vegan Foods 4 Healthy Living VeganFoods4HealthyLiving/ Wonderful recipes in the archives here; none in the folders. Vegetarian Group / You all! *lol* Thought you might like to see what i say about ya on my list. A busy new list full of great recipes, friendly advice, and helpful info. All the tried and trues are put into files, just like here [tfv]. i highly recommend this group, but also caution you to go on digest version because the posts each day are many. Vegetarian Jewish Cuisine / Wonderful recipes in archives, again none organized in files. Veg Recipes Veg-Recipes/ You cannot share recipes here unless you have mastercook program to format them, but they do have a good amount of recipes to try in their archives. Vegetarian Recipe Exchange vegetarianrecipeexchange/ Not all recipes are tried and true, but this is an older list with an extensive archive of posts and ideas. Vegetarian Slimming / Can you say New Year's Resolutions? *lol* But seriously, this a great list with good recipes, advice, and support for those of us who watch our weight. Vegetarian Soul Food Recipes / A great place to get some vegetarian recipes. Some are organized into files. Vegetarian Spice / A must-join group if you enjoy dishes with heat, zip, or just complex spice flavors. All tried and true recipes are organized into the files by the moderators [just like @ tfv]. ~ pt ~ Yea, I have looked, and seen November there; The changeless seal of change it seemed to be, Fair death of things that, living once, were fair; Bright sign of loneliness too great for me, Strange image of the dread eternity, In whose void patience how can these have part, These outstretched feverish hands, this restless heart? ~ William Morris, November
