Guest guest
12 oz cranberries 1 cup sugar 1 cup of water or juice or 1/2 cup of each when I make my raspberry cranberry sauce I use all raspberry juice, and you can use whatever juice you like. To make regular cranberry sauce I use one half apple and one half water however. mix sugar and fluid in a pot to dissolve sugar, bring to a boil, reduce heat and add cranberries. This is where the fun part comes in, The cranberries gently pop, you can hear them pop. Boil gently for 10 minutes stirring often. over this ten minutes the color is just wonderful. It's the prettiest color red in the world. and also when the sauce is done it's that same beautiful color, nothing like the canned color, so much more vibrant. After 10 minutes strain through a strainer scraping the outside bottom of the strainer every so often. Cool at room temperature completely then refrigerate till you want to serve them. That's it. Blessings, Chanda
