If anything I am shocked! > LOL I could have sworn I have gained at least 20 pounds!! My midwife only seems concerned with the amount of protein I'm getting. She's not totally supportive of my vegetarian choice; but whenever we add up my protein I'm getting between 80-100 grams, which is right where I need to be. She also is constantly reminding me to drink water, at least 3 quarts and now that I'm entering Tri-3 she wants me to bump it up to 4 qts. During the week at my desk job, that's not too difficult, but it is at home. So far I've already had 2 qts today; much better than the other pregnant woman in my office, who consistently has a soda (not even decaf) at her desk. I figure for all the crap most pregnant women eat, I'm doing pretty good. Denise
Guest guest
I have three kids myself and I was told to drink loads of water as well. I found that if I kept bottles of water in the fridge it was a snap to get the water intake I needed. I also fell in love with the lemon flavor water it helped my morning sickness. (I had it all day and all night up till the day I had him.) I had a doc who had a vegetarian daughter he said as long as you take your prenatal vitamins you will do just fine. I dont think there has really been a fair study on pregnant women who are vegetarians. I wasnt a vegetarian at the time I was pregnant with my last child but was thinking about it back then (3 yrs ago) Im just glad I got to wake up and see the light. Good luck with your baby - God Bless! organic_homestead <organic_homestead wrote:--- In , " Jeaninne " <jeaninneraaberg@s...> wrote: > > My midwife doesn't seem to worry about my weight gain (or lack > thereof) so I am not too worried either.
